We spent two lovely nights in this comfortable room, so comfortable we were asleep shortly after 7pm. The breakfast was amazing and became our main meal of the day. Weather was good and even managed to catch a glimpse of a passing steam train as we opened the blind. Kevin & Lorraine are certainly 5 Star + hosts. We will certainly return.

We recently stayed at The Boathouse, and were more than impressed with our room, which was on a par with Boutique hotels that we have also stayed in this last year, only on a smaller scale of course. We received a warm welcome on arriving, and would reccomend a stay here to anyone. Unfortunately we did not have time to stay for breakfast, however,I am sure the catering facilities would be of a high standard if the rest of the property is anything to go by. Absolutely Fantastic Night Away from the start. Kev has gone that extra mile, booking us a cab in advance (then taking us himself when it didn't arrive!), booking us a table for a meal, right down to turning the bed back on our return. We wished for a peaceful, romantic evening away and got every thing we could have wished for and more. Thank you again so much. Will definitely be returning. Ps.. What A Find!! We have had a lovely stay and only wish we could stay longer. The website is good but does not do justice to these beautiful rooms and the deck & garden. The beds are divine and the little touches, such as folding down and lighting candles make this so much more a boutique hotel than a B&B!! We also ate here. Lorraine prepared a super meal and even whipped up a last minute request for an apple crumble from my 10 year old Son!!! The Family Suite is perfect and we will be back!! Thank you so much!!

The rooms are sumptious and Lorraine certainly does have 'an eye' for detail & decor. Then theres the bed - I slept for the first time in 5 weeks. As I sit here writing this I'm still wondering if I could have got it in our car.   I came here on Friday in need of R&R and I leave here one very relaxed, re-juvinated happy person.   Kevin & Loraine, thank you - you are truly special people, we appreciated everything you did, we will be back. Fond memories will stay with us.
